The search for a new CEO at Athens-Limestone Hospital has come to an end. Kelli S. Powers of Lanett Alabama accepted the position and will join the staff of ALH in late March. Jim Moffat, Chairman of the ALH Board of Directors shared with the Hospital management team on Tuesday, Feb. 2nd that the Board of Directors extended to Ms. Powers the position and that she has accepted.

Ms. Powers now holds the position of Chief Executive Officer with Lanier Health Services in Valley, Alabama. She also served as Chief Financial Officer for Lanier and Director of Revenue Integrity for Baptist Health Systems in Montgomery, AL.
“Mrs. Powers came to us with over 18 years of comprehensive healthcare experience. She demonstrates a hands on management style in the implementation of strategic plans. We also found Kelli to be personable and felt that her management style would compliment the already strong management team that exists at ALH today,” says Jim Moffatt, Chairman ALH Board of Directors.
Several exceptional candidates were interviewed by ALH management, ALH physicians, Huntsville Hospital leadership and the ALH Board of Directors before the final decision and offer was extended to Ms. Powers.
Huntsville Hospital CEO David Spillers said, “We are excited to have Kelli Powers join the Athens team and we look forward to working with her. She brings valuable experience and knowledge of the healthcare issues facing Alabama hospitals.”
